AppleVis.com Website – iOS Resources for Blind and Visually Impaired

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with one of Adaptive Technology Resources’s Low Vision Product Specialists, Betsy Gruba. While discussing equipment and other recommendations regarding apps and equipment for an iPad user, she recommended the website, Apple Vis as a resource for apps for low vision and blindness.

Apple Vis is a wonderful community powered resource of recommended iOS apps for blindness and low vision users. Below is an image of what AppleVis offers on the home page :

Apple vis website discription.

The AppleVis website provides a searchable website, review of apps, app deals, tutorials, guides, a forum, blog, podcasts and has an accessories review for blindness and  vision impaired iDevice users.  A listing of latest app recommendations is also available on the website.

AppleVis website is a rich resource for any needing recommendations and information on the use of Apple devices for individuals with visual impairment or blindness.

Thank you to Betsy Gruba for sharing this valuable resource of iOS resources!
