    • Hi Judy,
Make sure you are logged into your Google Chrome account. Go to the Chrome Store and download the Read & Write app for Chrome.
When the Read & Write is downloaded to your Google Chrome account (you may have to refresh Google browser) then go to the Text Help Website listed to sign up for the free subscription.
      Hope that helps.

Hi I am just wondering if you can get this app for an iPad? I am an OT in school Health and have a client who needs speech to text. Dragon doesn’t work well for her. Any ideas on whether you can get google read an write as an app?

    • Hi Emma,
There are so many flavors of tools for reading and writing, it gets a bit confusing with their use.
As for the iPad, Read & Write has a web version that I believe works with Internet connection if purchased. Text Help also has an app for iPad iReadWrite that has text to speech, word prediction for struggling readers and writers.

You mentioned Dragon does not work well for her, can you clarify, is it the Dragon on an iPad? or are you talking about Dragon on a laptop or desktop computer ? They are very different applications!!

What is the age of the student that you are working with, what technology are they using, do they have access to Wi-Fi on the technology and what is your goal for the student/client? I would be happy to try to share ideas with more information.
Thank you for visiting OT’s with Apps!!
      CArol
